My name Chutayja is the founder of Heavenly Scented, a skincare business I started at the age of 24 in mid-2025 in Anchorage, Alaska—where I was born and raised. Heavenly Scented specializes in handcrafted skincare products, including bar soaps, facial soaps, lip scrubs, facial serums, and products designed to support healthy skin and reduce the appearance of scars.

 

The idea for my business started during a time when I realized that working a regular 9–5 job was no longer enough. I wanted more for my life—financial freedom, stability, and something meaningful that I could build on my own. One day, while searching for ways to create extra income, I began researching business ideas and found myself drawn to skincare. From that research and motivation, Heavenly Scented was born.

 

Starting this business wasn’t just about money—it was about creating change. I wanted to build something for myself and create a legacy I could one day pass down to my children. I took the leap of faith, launched my products, and at first, the response was overwhelming. Orders came in quickly, and I felt hopeful and excited about what I was building.

 

However, like many small businesses, things didn’t stay easy. After the initial rush, orders slowed down to just one or two per day. That period tested my faith in my business and in myself. I questioned whether I was doing enough or if my dream would really work. Even so, I chose not to give up. I learned to be grateful for every single order, knowing that even one or two sales meant someone believed in my product.

 

Through this journey, I’ve learned that starting a business is not easy, but perseverance matters. Heavenly Scented represents growth, resilience, and belief. I continue to move forward, knowing that consistency, patience, and faith will help turn my vision into something lasting and meaningful.
